Ken Sackheim is a filmmaker, editor and composer based in New York City. Raised in Tokyo, he studied filmmaking at NYU, where he later taught early in his career. For more than three decades, he has worked across narrative film, documentary and commercial work, often moving between directing, editing and music within the same work.

His films as a director include Always, Already, Beast and The World is that which is the Case. As an editor, his work includes the feature films The Come Up and The Myth of Fingerprints, as well as extensive documentary and commercial work for Eli Lilly, BDO, Deutsche Bank and Verizon.

Across these different forms, his work is grounded in performance, rhythm and the relationship between image and sound.
